Navigating Generational Differences at Work: Key Happiness Indicators
Do Gen Z/Millenials/Gen X/Boomers view happiness differently? Let's find out! Dive into the fascinating findings from the 2024 United States Happiness Report that puts how each generation approaches intentional happiness at work and home under the microscope. Discover that a staggering 77% of working Americans actively seek to enhance their daily happiness.
How do we do this? I highly recommend creating a happiness list to draw inspiration from. Download these free printables to get yourself started. There are two formats - one for free happiness boosters and one for things that make you happy that are worth every penny. Fill out your list and tape it to your bathroom mirror to remind yourself to do the things that make you happy!
An interesting finding in my study is that each generation's lists of what makes them happy is going to look a little different. Gen Z prioritizes different happiness indicators than Millenials do. For example, Millenials say that listening to music makes them happy (if this is you, download the happy play list template below for your instagram stories!) Knowing small, but significant generational differences and details can make a big difference in our home and office relationships!
This video also explores the vital role of connections, revealing how deep relationships increase our happiness—whether with friends or family—across generations. I’ll share the unique preferences each generation has in fostering these connections and share practical tips for creating your own personal happiness list.
