Talking To Your Kids About Tragedy - The Place Segment

Success author Michelle McCullough shares four things to teach your kids about the events of September 11th.

  1. Make sure kids understand that the events only happened once.
  2. Balance the stories of tragedy with stories of good.
  3. Talk to your kids about emergency plans. Help them be prepared so they don't worry about details.
  4. Get involved. Tell them where and how they can help whether it is donating money, clothing, or toys. They can also send care packages and letters.
