Make It Happen Episode

My biggest regret in college is not having more fun. 🙂 My second biggest regret is not taking more English and writing classes.  As a “grown up” I wish I had taken more business writing, more creative writing and more editing.  I write every day.

Though I’m not planning on going back to college any time soon, I’m grateful I found Laura Brown and her new book How To Write Anything – A Complete Guide. (P.S. Complete is an understatement.  You need to see this thing, It’s thick and comprehensive.)

Join me on today’s Make It Happen Radio, where I get to interview Dr. Brown on the importance of the written word and how we can overcome our shortcomings to write effectively, everything from a personal thank you note to a business press release.

Check out Laura’s course on How To Overcome Writer’s Block here.

Jackie Huba is LIVE on Make It Happen Radio 3.31.14

Make It Happen Episode

How do you grow your business and keep your current customers? By focusing on your One Percenters, the small uber-loyal customers who love you and evangelize you to everyone they know. This is the strategy that Lady Gaga is using to be around for the next 25 years and one that works for small and large businesses alike.

Join us on Monday, March 31st at 4:00 PM MT/6:00 PM ET as author Jackie Huba shares how YOU can use the same strategy celebrities use to grow your business.

More about Jackie:

Jackie Huba is the author of the new book, Monster Loyalty: How Lady Gaga Turns Followers into Fanatics. She is also the coauthor of two previous books on customer loyalty: Citizen Marketers: When People are the Message, which documents the emerging world of social media and how brands should begin to embrace a participatory culture. Besides being widely used at companies as an introduction to social media, Citizen Marketers has been adopted by college instructors as a tool for understanding the underlying nature of social media and what it means for marketing and public relations. Jackie’s first book, Creating Customer Evangelists: How Loyal Customers Become a Volunteer Sales Force, explains how companies convert customers into evangelists who spread the word about products, benefits or value propositions. Creating Customer Evangelists has been translated into six languages and has become a strategic focus for companies around the world.

Jackie is also a Forbes.com contributor, writing about customer loyalty and word of mouth marketing. Named as one of the 10 most influential online marketers, Jackie previously coauthored the award-winning Church of the Customer blog with more than 105,000 daily readers. Her work has frequently been featured in the media, such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, BusinessWeek, and Advertising Age. She was a founding Board Member of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.

She is an 11-year veteran of IBM, a graduate of Penn State University, and resides in Austin, Texas.

Learn more about Tom Antion:

TomAntionHeadshotWebTom Antion is an internationally acclaimed expert in Internet Marketing for small business. He is a full time professional speaker who has been featured on major news media worldwide including the Canadian Broadcast Network, The Australian Broadcast Network, Associated Press, The Tokyo Today Show and hundreds of radio, television and print outlets across the United States.

Tom has a very simple “Three Prong Attack” on Internet marketing, which is extremely simple and easy to understand. Tom is no “techie” . All he cares about is where to click to make money and he teaches his students the exact techniques he uses to pull in $75,000.00 to $220,000.00 in a month from his home office. These consistent high profit / low overhead Internet sales have made Tom an Internet Multi Millionaire in a very short period of time.

Since Tom consistently makes large sums of money while sitting in front of his computer this gave him the idea for his infamous “Butt Camp” Seminars where you learn to make more money sitting on your “rear” than going out and working for a living.

Tom has students in his mentor program who are e-millionaires and many are making 5, 10, 15 or $20,000.00 US per month.

Tom has the largest Internet magazine in his industry with over 100,000 subscribers in 80 countries.

Tom is the author of the only video seminar of its kind The Wake ’em Up Video Professional Speaking System. http://www.antion.com/speakervideo.htm   This training course is considered the standard for training professional, or aspiring professional speakers in the art of speaking and the science of marketing professional speaking and training services.

He is also the owner of the only facility of its kind in the world, “The Great Internet Marketing Retreat Center” http://www.GreatInternetMarketing.com/retreatcenter.htm where you live and work with Tom for 4 days learning the fine points of pulling in big bucks on the Internet.”

And one more BIG thing. Tom is the founder of another “only facility of its kind in the world” The Internet Marketing Training Center of Virginia” http://www.IMTCVA.org It’s the only independent, licensed Internet marketing training school in the country.

Currently Tom has taken on the role of consumer advocate where he has a Television show and Documentary in development to try to clean up the seminar industry where sociopathic seminar speakers are robbing people for enormous amounts of money. http://www.SeminarScammers.com Also White wing Entertainment is in production of a documentary about Tom’s life called “The American Entrepreneur”.

Possibilities & Inventions – Make It Happen Radio with Michelle McCullough & Guest Ryan Grepper

Make It Happen Episode

Today’s show is all about possibility.  How and why dreaming is an important part of peak performance and also how to turn those possibilities into reality.

Michelle will be interviewing a product visionary and inventor Ryan Grepper.  We’ll be talking about possibilities, inventions, building business the right way and also, don’t miss Ryan’s tips for a KILLER crowd funding campaign!

RYAN GREPPER

Bio:

Ryan is part visionary, part mad scientist, and a passionate supporter of the DIY revolution. He’s the driving force behind The Coolest, and has been a full-time inventor and product developer since 2006, with multiple products successfully developed and licensed in several industries.

He’s also committed to advocating for other inventors and helping them succeed. As Founder of Inventor’s Blueprint, an online video training program, Ryan helps inventors take their great ideas and turn them into products that sell.

 It’s Not All Work:

Ryan loves nothing more than to get outdoors and play, because he’s originally from Helena, MT. In fact, whenever he’s not busy inventing cool things, he can usually be found on a mountain bike, a snowy slope, dangling from a hang glider—or getting tackled by his kids, who show no mercy.
